Kids love water. And that’s the problem. Imagine this: you get to the pool and your child excitedly jumps in without floaties (just like mine once did) and you’re not right there.
In that instant, all the toys, floaties, and even traditional lessons mean nothing. What matters is whether your child can survive on their own. That's why Survival Swim Lessons matter.
The hard truth? Drowning is the #1 cause of accidental death for children ages 1–4. And in 88% of cases, an adult was nearby. (Reported by The National Institute Of Child Health)
Seconds matter. Excuses don’t.

Almost every week, a parent tells us about the moment their child slipped under for too long—or about a friend whose little one didn’t make it. These stories aren’t rare. They’re right here in our own community, and they’re why we do what we do.
Floaties and puddle jumpers? They don’t teach survival. And worse - they give a false sense of safety and kids become more likely to jump in without you. Traditional lessons don’t solve it either. After a whole summer of songs and splashing, most kids still can’t save themselves.
That’s why Infant Aquatics matters. In just seven weeks, your child learns the skills to survive an accidental fall into the water. Not someday. Not eventually. Now.
And it’s not only about survival. It’s about freedom - for your child and for you. Imagine visiting friends with a backyard pool and actually relaxing. Imagine vacations where you don’t hover in constant fear. Imagine the joy of watching your child swim with confidence instead of clinging to the steps.
Other programs may teach strokes, singing songs, or blowing bubbles... We teach peace of mind. And that’s something you’ll never regret investing in.
If the problem is urgent, the solution has to be effective—and fast. That’s why our method is different from anything else you’ll find.
Some programs use shock or force (like they scary videos you see online of tossing babies into the water in hopes they figure it out). Others lean the opposite way, singing songs, blowing bubbles, and stretching lessons across years while children remain unprepared. Neither gives you what you really need: a child who can survive today.
At Infant Aquatics, we take a better way. Our lessons are gentle, play-based, and grounded in child development research. Your child isn’t just learning to hold their breath, roll to float, or reach the edge of the pool... they’re building confidence through games, trust, and encouragement.

Every lesson is one child, one instructor. That means every moment is focused on your child’s needs, strengths, and pace. And because children learn best through consistency, lessons are short and frequent - building real skill, quickly, without overwhelm.
Our instructors go through intensive Infant Aquatics certification and ongoing training in infant psychology and safety. We don’t just know what to teach; we know how children learn. And if your child doesn’t master the skills we set together, we keep working until they do. That’s our Mastery Guarantee.
This isn’t about forcing. It’s about guiding. It’s about blending survival with joy, safety with play, urgency with care. It’s a method that works—fast, safe, and proven.
When you choose Infant Aquatics, you’re not just choosing swim lessons. You’re choosing the only program designed to give your child life-saving skills and a lifelong love of the water.
At the end of the day, every parent wants the same thing: peace of mind. And nothing proves the power of Infant Aquatics more than the stories of families who’ve been through the program.
We could tell you that your child will learn to swim-float-swim in just a few weeks.
We could show you how our gentle, play-based methods build trust and confidence instead of fear.
But the truth is — the most convincing proof comes from parents who were once standing exactly where you are now.

We have had my just turned 2yo in swim with SSIA for the past 8 weeks. He’s progressed so well, from not kicking at all to swimming and floating like a champ. Mrs Candace has a way of making it fun. It’s hard work but she was very kind and patient, and my son actually started asking for swimming lessons and her on days we wouldn’t be scheduled. My in-laws who have a pool keep him during the week. I confidently feel like if the worst happened and he was able to get outside and in the pool he would survive and that’s worth every penny. It also... seems like it’s been a great way to boost intelligence through routine physical activity.

Candice was nothing short of amazing and helpful teaching my kiddos great skills all while giving me a peace of mind that they were safe in the pool.
My kids all varied in skill and confidence levels when it came to swimming before SSIA. Within the first few days my kids had become better, stronger, independent, and more excited about swimming, floating, diving and so much more. They (and me!) had a huge shift from nervous and worried... about their safety and ability to get out of the pool by themselves, should an incident occur, to wanting to show us the many ways they could get themselves out and to safety. And on top of that they learned so many new skill sets like diving, new strokes and so much more. Now we can’t get them out of the pool because they’ve become fish ha!
We’re grateful for all the love and passion Candice put into making swim lessons fun, engaging and a success.

I highly recommend this program for teaching your little one essential survival skills. My child started as a 5 y/o with no swim skills despite being in commercial lessons before. This program exceeded my expectations. The instructor is incredible. Gentle but firm. We have a busy work schedule as my husband and I are both shift workers. I was worried about the commitment but it was worth it. By the end of the program I felt so much better about my child being in/around water. We had a very positive experience all around.

We couldn't be happier or more at ease with our son's (2 year old) swimming lessons with Candice. Seeing him progress and genuinely enjoy the classes is incredible, and knowing he's in her hands gives me immense peace of mind.
Candice is, quite simply, a wonderful person. Her professionalism is impeccable; you can tell she knows exactly how to guide children through the swimming learning process. But what truly makes ...
her stand out is the way she combines her expertise with endless patience and an incredibly loving approach.
She creates an environment where children feel safe and motivated, making every swim lesson a positive experience. If you're looking for an instructor who is not only effective but also warm and inspires confidence, Candice is the one. We recommend her 100%!
5 stars are not enough

We’re in week 3 of swim lessons at South Shore Infants, and I couldn’t be happier with our experience. My son has Miss Candice as his instructor, and she is so kind, gentle, and playful with him. I love that she never forces him to swim when he’s not in the mood, but instead teaches through play, which has helped him build more confidence in the water. It gives me such peace of mind knowing he’s in good hands. I also love that the lessons are one-on-one 🙏🏻it makes the experience so much more personal for my son 🙏🏻🩵
I truly believe every child should learn how to swim. it’s such an important life skill that can save lives. I’m so grateful we found South Shore Infants, because I know my little one is in the best hands. There’s no better feeling than trusting such a precious treasure to caring, patient instructor who make the experience both safe and fun.

Candice is an AMAZING instructor! I was so impressed at how much my two-year-old learned and how FAST he caught on. She worked with us to make sure we were also comfortable with everything. This style of teaching is so worth it and my child now LOVES to swim and (most importantly) has the skills now to save himself.

Candice has been so helpful in teaching our 7 month baby survival skills in the water, helping us feel comfortable with her being around the water, and helping get her acclimated to being in the water. Living in Texas during summer, and always being around water, I knew ... we’d need to do some survival skills lessons, and this has been exactly what we needed. Grateful for her calm, patient and encouraging help!
